Housing and Case Aide – Indianapolis, 3 positions available

The purpose of the Housing & Case Aide is to carry out timely pre- and post-arrival tasks to ensure each newly arrived refugee client has living essentials such as housing, food, medical care, and access to transportation and is oriented to their new environment. The Case Aide carries out activities to meet individual client needs utilizing a broad range of financial, medical, social, vocational and other services and resources. In collaboration with R&P Case Managers and the Housing Manager, he/she/they will ensure that clients are provided with all required core services as outlined in the Cooperative Agreement and Matching Grant Guidelines. Intensive Case Manager – Indianapolis

The purpose of the Intensive Case Manager position is to ensure that the agency’s most vulnerable clients are connected to affordable and culturally aware services that meet their needs. Through coaching and referrals the Case Manager ensures that clients gain the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to attain and maintain self-sufficiency. The Case Manager documents services in accordance with program guidelines as well as Exodus’s policies and procedures. He/she maintains regular contact with clients, assesses and monitors client needs and goals, and advocates on behalf of clients to guarantee their needs are met. This position will specialize in serving secondary migrant refugees, asylees, Cuban/Haitian entrants, and other displaced individuals with the following vulnerabilities: minors, young adults without parents, single parent households, elderly refugees, LGBTQ+ clients, social/psychological conditions/risk of suicide, substance abuse, disabled or ill, survivors of torture/gender based violence. Reception and Placement Case Manager – Indianapolis

The purpose of the R&P Case Manager is to provide intensive case management services primarily during the Reception & Placement (R&P) period, the first 90 days from a refugee’s date of arrival and up to 6 months.  The R&P Case Manager provides and documents these services in accordance with the guidelines listed in the Cooperative Agreement.  The R&P Case Manager is the first and most important service provider in the lives of newly arriving refugees.  As such, they maintain regular and consistent contact with the refugee(s), assess and monitor refugees’ needs and goals, advocate on behalf of refugees to guarantee that they receive benefits and quality care, and make referrals to both Exodus programs and outside organizations to ensure that refugees’ needs are met. Health Promotions Associate – Indianapolis

The primary purpose of the Health Promotions Associate (R&P) is to assist the R&P team in connecting clients to culturally and linguistically appropriate medical care. This position will schedule appointments, arrange transportation, and follow up on client medical needs as identified in the R&P period. This position will assist clients in navigating medical issues and problems with insurance and billing and will generally serve as a source of medical case management support for the R&P team. Mental Wellness Advocate – Indianapolis

The purpose of the Mental Wellness Advocate is to ensure that Exodus’ clients have access to linguistically appropriate, culturally aware, and trauma informed mental health services in Indiana. The Mental Wellness Advocate will work to train community providers and build the necessary relationships to ensure such services are accessible. The Mental Wellness Advocate will directly assist clients in accessing outside services as needed. All services will be documented appropriately and recorded in compliance with the funding associated with the position. Office Manager – Indianapolis

The goal of this position is to oversee the daily operations of the office including facility and equipment management, office telecommunications, front desk oversight, and other supportive services. The position will also supervise and support the Front Desk Associate position and office volunteers in welcoming and checking in clients and visitors to the office. Employment Specialist – Indianapolis

The purpose of the position is to provide our clients with the necessary knowledge and basic skills that will allow them to obtain entry-level employment leading to self-sufficiency. The Employment Specialist provides theoretical and practical employment orientation to employable clients, including newly arrived refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, parolees, secondary migrants, and refugees, all within 5 years of arrival.  He or she educates clients on American workplace attitudes, practices, and expectations; assesses individual skill and employment history through written assessments and verbal interviewing; maps out client employability plans; and provides skill enhancement opportunities as necessary. The Employment Specialist provides practical training in filling out job applications and interviewing as well as assistance with resume and cover letter writing as necessary.  He or she may also provide budgetary and financial counseling to clients.  Read more about the position and qualifications here!
